This is an oversized replica of an original sand spike discovered at the base of Mt. Signal.
As a part of inSITE2000, it was commissioned by New York artist Allan McCollum for an addition to his own project. It is made up
of a welded steel armature and concrete which has been textured with custom pads made specifically for this concretion.
